This installation in Moncarapacho pairs 30 Sharp solar panels with an LG ESS Home 10kW hybrid inverter and an LG ESS Home 16kWh battery, combining generation and storage from a single manufacturer’s ecosystem. Because the inverter and battery are both part of the LG ESS Home line, they’re designed to integrate directly with one another, streamlining installation and giving the homeowner a unified system to monitor rather than separate components from different suppliers.
The 16kWh battery gives this household significant capacity to store daytime solar production for use later, whether in the evening or during periods of lower sunlight, reducing how much electricity needs to be drawn from the grid outside peak solar hours. At 10kW, the inverter is sized to handle the full output of the 30-panel array while also managing battery charging efficiently.
With the Algarve’s more than 300 days of sunshine a year, this system is well positioned to keep the battery consistently charged, giving the property a strong degree of energy independence across most of the calendar.
