Sizing the panel array above the inverter’s rated output is a common approach in solar design, allowing the system to keep producing strongly through the morning, late afternoon, and overcast moments, rather than only at the point of peak midday sun.
The BYD Battery Box Premium HVM stores that surplus generation for use later in the day, giving the household a substantial 16.5kWh buffer to draw on in the evening rather than relying on grid electricity once the sun goes down.
